Our mechanics go through every yard spotter to look for current and upcoming issues. You can also purchase a fully remanufactured spotter truck if we have one currently in stock.
Engines and Transmissions
When a yard spotter’s engine or transmission is worn out, we’ll remove and fully rebuild them. We go through the heads and the bottom end and replace everything, including:
- Rod and main bearings
- Pistons
- Rings
- Rods (if necessary)
- Wrist pins
- Oil pump
- Camshaft
- Crankshaft (turn or replace it)
- Camshaft bearings
- Valvetrain (including rockers, pushrods, and springs)
- Heads (if they cannot be rebuilt)
- Timing chains
When rebuilding the transmission, we replace the clutches, pump, and (if necessary) the “hard parts.” We also clean the valve body and replace the filter.
When we are finished, the engine looks brand new. The only part with miles on an engine is the short block and heads (if we can rebuild them) and the transmission case.
